Rio Blanco Development was established in 1988 from a home office in Oildale, California as an information portal for the historical mining districts encompassing White River in Tulare County California. Since then, the company has grown year-on-year, its activities broadening to include applied research and development, along with resource management consulting. Today, RBD remains a privately-owned sole proprietor company with more than a dozen complex projects completed since inception and several active ones in various stages of operation. Our online presence is now divided between “Terra Bella Minerals” and formerly Sequoia Valley Resources for our news and information services, and “Covalent Mineral Technologies for our commercial service offerings. Presently we are also allied with Rezcast Industrial Services, Terra Alba Clay, and Sequoia Valley Testing and Inspections. We are developing and maintaining trade associations and professional development liasons and trade listings as money and time can afford.
Rio Blanco Development specializes in developing high value functional additives to many markets. These additives improve the flow characteristics and performance of our customers’ products or production processes. We offer a comprehensive product portfolio that includes rheology modifiers for adhesion promoters and surface active additive powders for the growing industry of “Green cement.” Our flagship product is, Terra Alba-Lite™, a standalone ore and organo-clays additive. It is designed to enhance the feel, flow and finish of everyday products including surface coatings, construction products, and cosmetics. We strive to bring new technologies and disruptive products to the markets we serve and to work collaboratively with our customers. This focus allows us to nurture our partnerships and to build on our technical expertise and commitment to the ongoing improvement of our industries. Our goal is to be the fastest growing and most competitive supplier of nature derived specialty additives in the world.
In 2011, Rio Blanco Development acquired a 25% ownership in all of the Sears Mineral Clay deposits of Tulare County, California. Historical records revealed with the closing of that acquisition that the White River Clays were some of the first North American suppliers of natural, bio-functional and active ingredients used in the cosmetics and personal care market. Rio Blanco Development has emerged from a period of corporate transformation in 2004 with a newly placed management, technical development team, and corporate discipline. With a renewed focus, strategy and determination, the Company is excited to offer its unique mineral powder resource and product support to a wide range of established and developing markets. Rio Blanco Development and its owner hold a broad portfolio of intellectual property surrounding the technology related to the raw and finished product powder. This portfolio provides the Company an unique ability to provide customers both a quality specification grade powder in commercial quantities, and at the lowest possible cost. In house construction resources are available to rapidly deploy commercialization of products for such markets as infrastructure repair and longevity.
The Mineral deposit is located in Tulare County, California and for the past decade Rio Blanco Development has been working hard to develop a standard for the characterization, quantification, and commercialization of this unique mineral. As a result of these efforts, the Company is able to deliver (scalable)commercially consistent product grades of the highest quality mineral powder in the Pacific Rim.
